The best for last? It's not a new tutorial, but I find it to be one of the cutest free apron patterns out there. Now, here are a few of my readers' questions answered, I feel it's good to put them here as they might help you too:
You can use whatever you want for the straps: either create straps from the same fabric as the apron or simply use webbing in cotton or polyester. and there are even more options: grosgrain ribbon, double-fold bias tape (see here how to make bias tape tutorial), or even adjustable straps with D-rings or sliders. Choose straps that match your apron's style, but remember: straps need to be washable!
Usually? Go for sturdy and washable. From quilting cotton for 'light' use, over to a bit sturdier woven fabric such as twill, decor-weight cotton, linen, or canvas. These materials are durable enough to withstand frequent use and washing, making them ideal for practical kitchen or crafting aprons.
Easy. The pockets are just rectangles that don't need a pattern. If you're new to sewing, use this easy pocket sewing tutorial.
